The WR/DB interaction does look better. My hope is that they will bring greater penalties against sim gamers. I'd like to witness more defensive holding as well as pass interference. calls. Watching players jockey to position themselves while the ball is flying is definitely an experience.
Returning towards the Frostbite engine The game has definitely made a leap forward in terms of visuals but I'm not sure if this will suffice to satisfy gamers' unrealistic expectations. The game isn't going to be radically differentfrom the previous game, FIFA did not last year. However, it will open the possibility of how the game will evolve, and the top end is quite expensive.
Overall, an excellent first information release. There's plenty to think about. My concern is the fact that EA has to accomplish multiple things for multiple groups, and my concern is that at the end of the day, sim-oriented gamers could be the ones to are lost as time passes. We'll see.
I'm in agreement with Kevin that trailers generally produce a negative effect on me, in that cutscenes and mashups can be useful in giving flash, but the content behind them is generally better served by real-time gameplay videos. The WR/DB interactions are improved and I hope it's not simply cosmetic. As an avid Skins fan familiar with at the very least the one penalty of illegal contact in every game, thanks to Josh Norman I'd hope that the physicality is more of it. Coverage for run and bumps needs to try to get receivers off their routes, among other things. Target passing seems like an intriguing idea but we'll have to wait and check out how it goes.
